Aphroula's House: The Sitting/Dining room
|
|
The Apartment. On the first floor, the pride of the
Apartment is the large terrace, giving beautiful views down the valley, over
the trees, and out to sea. Opening off the terrace is a spacious,
comfortably-furnished sitting/dining room with fireplace, and a well-equipped
kitchen area with a full-sized electric stove and washing machine.
There are ceiling fans in both rooms, which are marble-floored throughout. The bedroom, with double bed, also opens
onto the terrace, while a fully-fitted shower-room/WC completes the
accommodation.
The Studio. This high, light and airy room is fully furnished with ceiling fan, twin beds, a kitchen corner (kettle, toaster, coffee-maker,
but no cooking rings)
and fridge, and has its own small, though fully-fitted shower-room/WC. The
Studio opens onto a paved patio, with steps leading down to a large garden,
surrounded by olive trees, poplars, wild fig and a eucalyptus, while at the
lowest level of the terraced garden there are orange, lemon and tangerine
trees. There is plenty of room for sunbathing and to the side of the house
there is an open air cooking area with barbecue, small oven and rings, sink and cupboard space.
The construction of the House makes it ideal for 2
couples, or for a family of 4 to 5 who would be able to use the whole
property; please note that the cost of the House as a whole is less than the
sum of the parts! And as the whole House is centrally heated, it makes an
ideal property for early or late season (and Christmas) visits, when it is usually
cool enough to warrant a little heating.
