The Galani Cottage
|

Situated in the hamlet of Koumani Rema, the Galani Cottage is deep in
the olive groves, hidden in a fold of the mountain behind Milina. But despite
its peaceful location, it is only fifteen to twenty minutes leisurely walk from
the Milina seafront.
|
The Cottage is set in a pleasant garden, with massive, gnarled olive trees
which provide shade at all times of the day. Opening onto the garden is a
large, roofed patio, with a stone table - a superb place to sit and relax, and
watch the wind stir the ocean of olive leaves.
From the patio we enter the living/dining room with a fireplace, dining
table, one divan and an armchair which converts into a single bed. To the left
is the bedroom with twin pinewood beds and wardrobe, while to the right is the
kitchen with a small table, fridge, gas rings and marble sink and work
surfaces. A shower-room/WC leads off the kitchen. The Galani
Cottage is a small, cool house suitable for two adults or a couple with a small child,
who prefer an independent property in a small community.
