ACTIVITIES
1: WATERSPORTS; MOTOR BOAT HIRE
The following boats are available for hire:
Group A, 20 Horse Power for 4 adults at £TBA per week
Group B, 25 Horse Power for 4 adults at £TBA per week.
Prices are in Sterling and include 30 litres of gasoline, 3rd party insurance and VAT. Extra gasoline must be paid for direct
to Milina Nautic.
The minimum period of hire for pre-bookings is 3 days at a cost of
£TBA per day for a Group A boat, and
£TBA per day for a Group B boat. A proportional amount of gasoline will be provided.
If you cancel your boat you will be charged at the same percentage as for the cancellation of accommodation;
please see para 5 of the Booking Conditions.
No refunds can be given for boating days lost to bad weather or rough sea.
Boats can be moored in Horton, at Eleni's House, and at Seagulls at Koukouleika; Coastguard regulations mean that clients
staying in Lefokastron cannot keep a boat close to their accommodation, and will have to return it each night to the Milina
Nautic mooring in Milina.
Milina Nautic School O.E. reserves the right to require a passport to be deposited at the time the boat hire begins, as surety
against the return of the boat and engine in good condition. NOTE that the client is responsible for any damage to the boat
or engine, as own damage insurance is not available.
2: WATERSPORTS: SAILING DINGHY & KAYAK HIRE

3: DAY SAILING
A day under sail in the calm, warm waters of the Pagasitic Gulf is a wonderful way to get a different view of the Pelion Peninsula. Your yacht will collect you at an agreed time and place, most likely the jetty of the village closest to your accommodation, and after a few formalities, during which the skipper will provide a brief introduction to the yacht with primary focus on safety, the day's adventure begins. Once underway you will decide with your skipper your route. From Milina or Horton you can head south and west past Alatas Island and then along the coast towards the deserted monastery island of Prasouda. You can then follow the coastline past Zastena and on towards Kottes (excellent fish restaurants), or carry on to Trikeri Island, stopping at any point to swim or snorkel. Bring your own food and have lunch aboard, or stop at Kottes, or Trikeri Island for a taverna lunch.
In the afternoon there is often a light wind, so it is possible to head out into the Gulf under sail; cruising through these magical waters with the engine off in a light wind is ... wonderful.
Throughout the day you can either sunbathe and relax while the skipper does all the work, or, if you are so inclined, you can take over the yacht and navigate, plot a course and get to your destination. As ever with yachting what can be done is determined by the weather. Normally the summer days are warm and sunny with the breeze picking up in the afternoon, but even if the wind picks up and is stronger than expected, the yachts are comfortable and the sailing is exhilarating!
The cost depends on the size of your party, and therefore the size of the yacht; call us for details and we can then pre-book for you, or visit our office once you have arrived.
4: MOUNTAIN BIKES
Can be hired by the day or by the week; please call for prices
5: RIDING
There is a well-run stables in Arghalasti, and rides of half a day or a full day can be arranged. The half day rides normally take place in the morning, or late afternoon, to avoid the heat of the day, but if you opt for a full day excursion it is possible to ride down to the beach and swim with your horse. Call into the office once you have arrived to check prices and availability of the riding. Hard hats are provided, but riders must wear long trousers, and shoes, rather than sandals.
6: TAXI EXCURSIONS
If you decide against having a car, but would still like to see the surrounding countryside, we can arrange half and full day excursions to the villages and beaches of Mount Pelion. In addition, we can organise excursions further afield to both Meteora, to see the medieval monasteries perched on their extraordinary pillars of rock, and also to Delphi to visit the wonderful site of the Oracle, believed by the Ancient Greeks to be the Navel of the Earth.
